Refunds

This page explains how StoreStage purchases are refunded. It is a product notice, not a substitute for counsel. Last updated 2 September 2026.

How to request

Ask Paddle, or ask us

Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record. You can request a refund from Paddle buyer support, or send us the details and we will help from there.

Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Card, tax, and payout details stay with Paddle. StoreStage keeps subscription status and entitlements so Pro and Theme Pass access can be enforced on the server.

What this covers

Paid StoreStage products today are the Pro subscription (monthly or annual) and Theme Pass, a one-time purchase for a theme family. Anonymous use and the verified Free account are not paid products.

Paddle's refund rules apply

Paddle does not expose a dashboard setting we can import as this page. The legal refund terms are Paddle's Refund Policy, which forms part of the Paddle Buyer Terms. If those documents change, they govern the purchase. This page only describes what that means for StoreStage.

In outline, Paddle treats most transactions as non-refundable unless a statutory withdrawal right applies or Paddle issues a discretionary refund. Discretionary requests are reviewed case by case and are typically considered within 14 days of the transaction. Local consumer law can give a stronger right, including:

Paddle's policy is the source of truth for eligibility, timing, and how to exercise those rights. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights.

Cancellation is not a refund

You can cancel Pro from your account through the Paddle customer portal. Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not refund the current period unless Paddle approves a refund under the rules above. Theme Pass is not a subscription, so it is not cancelled through the portal.

What happens to access

When Paddle approves a refund, StoreStage removes the related entitlement. Pro features return to the Free account limits. A refunded Theme Pass stops unlocking that family. Your projects are not deleted. Chargebacks can also suspend access while Paddle reviews the dispute. If Paddle reverses the chargeback, Pro is restored.

How to ask

The fastest path is the refund option in your Paddle receipt, the customer portal, or paddle.net. You can also use the StoreStage form with the email used at checkout and the Paddle transaction ID. Do not send card numbers or passwords.

Approved refunds return to the original payment method when Paddle can do so, usually within 14 days of approval.

Terms

Use of StoreStage is also covered by Terms. Product questions go to Support.
