StoreStage compared with the other screenshot generators

We make one of these tools, so treat this as a vendor's comparison and verify anything that matters. Each page below leads with what the other product does better, because StoreStage is the narrower tool and pretending otherwise would waste your time. Everything was read off each product's own site on 2026-09-16.

The short version

StoreStage is for one case: an app whose screenshot gallery should read as a single designed sequence. It holds the whole set on one scene, so artwork runs across the panel seams instead of being re-decorated frame by frame. If that is not what you are optimising for, one of the others is very likely the better tool.

These are the limits, up front:

  • Built around iPhone and iPad sets. Google Play phone and tablet sizes export from those same sets, but there are no Android-specific layouts and no Google Play Console upload.
  • App Store Connect upload sends one set to one localisation at a time. No Custom Product Pages, no Product Page Optimization tests.
  • Localisation is a Pro feature built on separate locale sets, and AI translation runs through the Remote MCP server rather than a button in the editor.
  • Four featured original theme families (and 27 editor presets), not hundreds of templates.

The comparisons

  • StoreStage vs AppLaunchpad A long-running, template-first screenshot generator for App Store and Google Play pages, with a large ready-made template library and built-in icon and illustration libraries.
  • StoreStage vs AppScreens A screenshot tool built around localisation and store publishing, aimed at teams shipping to many locales and uploading directly to both stores.
  • StoreStage vs AppScreenStudio A screenshot generator with a free core editor and pay-as-you-go credits for full-resolution exports and AI tools, instead of a required subscription.

See for yourself

The editor opens without an account and drafts stay in your browser, so the quickest way to settle this is to build a set in each tool and compare the output.
